Niki is known for her charming smile, strong camera presence and natural comedic timing. She recently played Casey Macey, a Pop star icon opposite real-life pop star Mya in Lifetime’s My Favorite Christmas Melody.
Although Niki has trained with many studios and teachers over the years, she has an affinity for the Meisner technique and has been a regular member at the Playhouse North Acting Studios where she participates in the annual live performance showcase. She is also an actor combatant and has her FDC certification for combat/weapons.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…a combat/weapons trained actor who also does hand modeling?! How does she do it?! We’re not exactly sure but by some miracle those money-making (insert George Costanza joke) hands are doing just fine! Aside from her regular Meisner and combat training you can always find her enrolled in a class. She has training in Mocap, Voice, Improv and continues honing her skills in all of these areas, along with her combat/weapons training. In her current arsenal she has a custom hand made bow, throwing knives, nunchucks, light sabres and butterfly knives. She enjoys the occasional sword and gunplay on a nice sunny day.
Niki’s interests are not only limited to being seen on screen. She has a thirst for knowledge and a broader understanding for the industry beyond being an actor. She has worked in numerous behind camera roles such as PA, Set Decorator, Wardrobe, 3rd AD and Producer. Every year at TIFF, Niki has been asked by The Creative Coalition to announce the awards dinner/ceremony. Niki is currently working on a series and short film.
If you are lucky enough to have her on your set, you can expect a professional, kind, calm and fun human to be around. She is known for putting others at ease, making people laugh and her love of snacks.
She takes her job seriously, but not herself. She is currently preparing for an upcoming lead role in a thriller.
